Why Waste Wednesdays Foundation (WWWF) promotes the circular economy by transforming awareness into action through reuse, resource recovery, and community-driven sustainability initiatives. - Project Vikalp: A QR-code-enabled ‘Borrow a Bag’ initiative that replaces plastic bags with reusable cloth bags. Users pay a refundable deposit and can return the bag at any Vikalp stall. - RRR Centre & Stalls: Collect and redistribute pre-loved clothes, footwear, books, and household items, reducing landfill waste and supporting those in need. - Project Saakshar: Collects discarded materials and sends for recycling. In exchanged recycled notebooks and stationary distributed in schools, spreading awareness on sustainability. - Intensive Awareness & Sensitization: Engages communities, RWAs, corporates, and institutions through street plays, puppet shows, school campaigns, and webinars. - Youth Engagement: Works with schools, colleges, and NSS volunteers to drive sustainability actions and behavior change. - Other Projects: Includes plastic & e-waste collection, zero-waste events, and bartan bhandaar.
