Established in 1967 by its current Chairman and Managing Director, Mr. Jayantibhai Jariwala, Colourtex began its journey in dyestuff manufacturing in 1976 at Pandesara, an industrial hub in Surat, Gujarat. Colourtex's strength lies in its robust infrastructure, which includes a surface water reservoir, a co-generation coal-based turbine, a dedicated landfill site, and a well-integrated backward supply chain developed over four decades. In 2017, the Indian Chemical Council (ICC), representing the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA), awarded Colourtex the prestigious "Responsible Care" certification. This recognition highlights the company’s achievements in implementing comprehensive environmental and safety compliance systems throughout its dyestuff manufacturing and supply chain operations.
